Occupational Health

Oh is the Cambridge University Hospitals’ Occupational Health department.

Our Occupational Health department called ‘OH Wellbeing’ works to improve the health, safety and general wellbeing of all our staff, striving to create a healthier working environment. It's main aim is to prevent work-related health problems by providing advice on: -the prevention of ill health at work -pre-employment health assessment -health surveillance programme -immunisation advice and free seasonal flu vaccine -confidential advice -environmental monitoring and work station assessments -health promotion The team can be contacted on 01223 216767

We aim to improve the health, safety and general wellbeing of all staff, striving to create a healthier working environment. We supply occupational health services to both private companies, Royal Papworth NHS trust and the Cambridge University Hospitals Trust.

We are open 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday (closed on Bank Holidays). We are located on Cambridge Biomedical Campus on the corner of Long Road and Robinson Way.

Duty Nurse

To contact the Oh Occupational Health and Wellbeing Duty Nurse for urgent advice call Sharps Mobile on: 07592 327872 or Bleep 159394.

Please be aware that the duty nurse may not be available immediately so leave a message when prompted letting us know whether it is okay to leave a message for you stating who is calling and ensure you give a number for a call back.

The Oh Occupational Health and Wellbeing Duty Nurse is a rotating role in the Nursing Team and provides urgent advice over the telephone on topics such as:

  • Needle stick, sharps injury or accidental exposure to blood or blood stained body fluids
  • What to do following exposure to infectious diseases
  • Skin problems that are affecting work
