Menopause

Every person’s experience of the menopause is different and may impact on their working life in various ways. The Trust is committed to ensuring that employees going through peri-menopause and menopause are fully supported and that measures are put in place, where possible, to help relieve problematic symptoms and prevent the exacerbation of symptoms.

CUH menopause/peri-menopause Facebook group

CUH has a staff menopause/peri-menopause support group on Facebook where you can ask questions, share ideas and gain a better understanding of the menopause, in a safe and supportive environment.

If you wish to join the group, please provide your work email address when prompted and take a minute to read the group rules, thank you.

Cambridge Biomedical Campus (CBC) menopause café

The Cambridge Biomedical Campus holds regular menopause cafes which are open for all, regardless of gender, experience or age. You could be experiencing menopause yourself, be a brother, daughter, husband supporting a family member, a colleague who wants to know how they can be supportive in the workplace.

The menopause café simply encourages people to pop along to listen to others and allow those who wish to share their experience with the menopause in an informal, confidential setting. There is no set agenda and there is no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action.

Free tea, coffee and cake are provided - so you do need to register, so they can ensure they have enough! The group is not cliquey and is very welcoming, so do please venture along either alone or with friends/colleagues.
