Leaders and Managers

Congratulations on your appointment to a managerial post at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH). Making the step into a manager or leader position can be a challenging time, whether you are new to CUH or you are moving positions from an existing role in the Trust.

All managers who are new in post, or new to CUH, are invited to join the Essentials for Management and Leadership Excellence (EMLE) programme. This is a development programme over the first six months in your new post where you will work and network with other new managers from across CUH to develop leadership skills that will support you in your new role.

The programme consists of six modules, 4 in person development days and 2 development days in a virtual classroom. There will be some pre-work set prior to attending each module through DOT. We know that much learning takes place outside of the workshops room so you will be encouraged to put what you have learned in to practice and bring that learning back to the subsequent modules. There is also a large variety of resources available to support you through DOT, our learning management system.
